'PLAY' Patches - New Synths Demo
Introducing PLAY Patches for Organelle M, S, & S2!
We're happy to announce a new OS for the Organelle (OS5), and with it comes a fresh collection of eight patches called PLAY patches — designed to be fun, expressive, and great-sounding right out of the box. This video demonstrates the following features of these new PLAY patches!
A Consistent, Intuitive Interface
All PLAY patches share a similar screen layout, with only the parameter names changing between them. The Organelle's screen features a graphical representation of each knob's position, making it easy to see your settings at a glance. Along the bottom of the screen you'll find at-a-glance info including your saved sequence count, current tempo, latch status, active pattern (A–N), and octave setting.
A Revamped Aux Menu
If you've used other C&G Organelle patches before, you'll notice the Aux menu has been updated. Two new controls let you shift the built-in keyboard up or down by one or two octaves — a small but handy addition for live play.
Patterns: Arpeggiators and Note Repeaters
The highlight of the PLAY patches is the pattern system. Press the Aux button along with any of the fourteen "white" keys to instantly select from a range of arpeggiators and note repeaters. These are switchable on the fly. You can even create your own patterns!
Tempo, Sequences, and Latch
Holding the Aux button and turning the encoder adjusts the tempo, which also controls the arpeggiation rate. The patches support sequence recording, playback, and saving, all synced to the tempo. Latch mode lets notes ring out freely, and a built-in click track helps you stay in time while performing.
