Critter Boards -- multi purpose electronic boards

NOTE: Critter and Guitari has run out of Critter Boards for sale. We hope to produce these boards again, but can't say when. Below is a bunch of information including complete schematics and PCB layouts.

Critter Boards are electronic circuit boards designed for building self-contained musical and video instruments. Information and tutorials are available below. Most of the Critter Boards are based on the very powerful Philips ARM LPC2138 micro-controller, so the tutorials are a great source of information on this controller (and ARM controllers in general).

Tutorials

These tutorials are a good starting point for further exploring with Critter Boards.

They start with the basics, setting up the toolchain and blinking an LED, then get into more audio video examples.

The Critter Board, Video Critter, and Video Critter Hi-Res share the same LPC2138 processor, so many of the tutorials apply to all three. Especially useful are the first four under Critter Board.
